Weingut Von Winning founded this winery blessed by magnificent growing conditions in 1849 in Pfalz, Germany. Among the bragging rights for this impressive winery are the world-class Rieslings which hail from the volcanic basalt quarry above Forst created over 50 million years ago.
Intensive and sustainable work in the vineyards enables winemakers to produce a sustainable harvest of highly aromatic and healthy grapes. This valuable fruit is patiently vinified and untreated in the historic cellar. Musts are fermented using their indigenous yeasts without artificial cooling in different sized old oak barrels.
This way, the wines preserve the precious phenolic compounds, which shape the aroma and offer up a deep and complex structure. Subsequently, the wines are moved only one time on their way into the bottle. Because of this, grapes from significant vineyard sites become special and memorable wines, which express the house’s unique style.
