Wines by Marina and Massimiliano Palusci
Varietals include; Montepulciano, Pecorino, Passerina
Before Marina Palusci (fourth generation) made a name for itself in winemaking it was famous for producing world-renowned olive oil, which often ended up in the kitchens and on the tables at Michelin-star restaurants around the world. Including Massimo Bottura’s multi award winning worlds best, Osteria Francescana.
But Marina’s son, Massimiliano d’Addario (Max), saw another opportunity for the family’s four hectare territory. Located in Italy’s eastern Pescara province, he began producing Montepulciano wines in 2009.
And while he's best known for the family olive oil, Massimiliano's talent as a winemaker has increasingly carved out a reputation as a quality producer of fresh, delicious, easy drinking wines.
When it comes to winemaking, he intervenes as little as possible with his organically-farmed vineyards and cellar. Using indigenous yeasts, Max uses zero filtration or additions to make the younger vines “Senzaniente” (without anything) and older vines under his mothers name Marina Palusci “Plenus” wines.
